Whether we are Monarchists, Republicans or somewhere in between, the death of The Queen is a sombre moment in the life of our nation. We offer prayers, of Thanksgiving for her life, her faith and the contribution she made to the life of this nation and the whole Commonwealth of Nations, commend her to God, and pray for King Charles III as he begins his reign.
God of our lives, we give you thanks for the life of your servant, Queen Elizabeth II, for her service to you, for the way in which she served this nation and the Commonwealth of Nations. We entrust her to your love and mercy, through our Redeemer Jesus Christ. Amen
May she rest in peace, and rise in glory.
(Norwich Cathedral, Church of England)
God of the nations, we pray for King Charles III as he begins his reign as Head of State of this nation. Endue him and all who serve under him with wisdom that all your people may be governed with dignity and justice, through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
God save the King.
